This long season sweet pepper has a lovely flavor with a hint of fruitiness. 2.5 - 3.5" blocky shape, but thinner walls than modern bell peppers. Collected in Mérida, Yucatán.

Domesticated chiles vary profoundly in shape, size, color, pungency and flavor. | Start seeds inside, 1/4" deep in sandy soil, 8-10 weeks before last frost. Seeds are slow to germinate and need warmth. Transplant seedlings 12-16" apart. Partial shade is best in low desert, full sun in cooler climates.
